Garbage and Recycling Collection

Village garbage and recycling collection is contracted to Harter's Fox Valley Disposal. All refuse must be placed at the curb in the wheeled bins provided. Commingled recycling items are also collected at the curb every-other week. Collection days are generally on Mondays, except for holiday weeks; collection will then take place on Tuesday. Please note that the garbage truck's arm needs at least three feet of clear space on either side of the garbage dumpster in order to pick it up and place it down safely. Please position the garbage dumpster away from other objects.

DO NOT OVERFLOW THE GARBAGE CONTAINER. Extra bags sitting outside of the wheeled bins will NOT be picked up unless prior arrangements have been made.  To prevent garbage from blowing around the Village yards and streets, garbage should be bagged and tied shut prior to placing in dumpster. If not, it will blow away if the cover is lifted by the wind. The garbage collector will not pick up the blown away garbage. It could end up in your neighbor’s yard. PLEASE help our garbage collector keep the Village clean of liter.
