Street & Recycling Committee

The Street & Recycling Committee oversees the care and improvement of Edgar’s streets and waste services.

What They Do

• Street Maintenance & Planning: Reviews the condition of Village streets each year and helps prepare the 5-Year Street Improvement Plan.

• Traffic & Sidewalks: Studies traffic patterns and recommends where sidewalks are needed for safety.

• Construction & Equipment: Reviews street construction bids, recommends contract approvals, and evaluates equipment needs, recommending replacements when necessary.

• Garbage & Recycling: Reviews and renews contracts for garbage and recycling collection.

• Community Clean-Up: Oversees the annual spring clean-up as well as the collection of yard and garden waste.
