Plan Commission

The Plan Commission is made up of the Village President, three Trustees, and three citizen members.

 

What They Do

The Commission’s primary responsibility is to guide the long-term vision and growth of Edgar through the creation and updating of the Village’s Comprehensive (Master) Plan.

 

Key duties include:

• Reviewing and making recommendations on land use issues

• Considering land acquisition for streets, parks, and utilities

• Approving land plats within the Village

• Reviewing and recommending updates to land use ordinances

 

The Plan Commission helps ensure that Edgar grows in an organized, sustainable, and community-focused way.
