Urgent Water Conservation Request

Dear Village of Edgar Residents,

We are currently experiencing a significant water leak within the Village’s water system. Our team is working diligently to locate and resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

In the meantime, we are asking all residents and businesses to conserve water immediately by minimizing water usage wherever possible. This includes:

  • Limiting or postponing activities such as laundry, dishwashing, and lawn watering.
  • Using water only for essential purposes.

We appreciate your cooperation and patience as we address this situation. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.

Payment Types

Payments

The Village of Edgar has the capability of processing automated withdrawals directly from your account.  There is no fee for this.  You decide if the amount would be taken quarterly for the entire amount of the billing or whether it is a monthly deduction and how much that monthly deduction would be. (Note:  This form can be found below.)

 

Another payment method includes accepting credit and debit card payments through allpaid. Payments can be made with a major credit, debit or prepaid debit card.


Now you are able to pay a utility bill, a tax payment, or a Village invoice using a major credit or debit card.  If necessary, you may also call allpaid 24 hours a day at 1-(888) 604-7888 (Higher fee rate may apply of 5%).  You may also make payments at the Village Hall using cash, credit/debit cards, and checks.  Please note, payments processed through allpaid online or telephone systems include an additional service fee; the Village of Edgar does not collect this and it goes directly to the payment processing companies.  The fee allows the Village to offer the convenience of using a credit or debit card.

For online utility and other payments, including those made at the Village Hall, the following fee schedule of three (3) percent fee (a minimum $3.00) applies.  [i.e. $200.00 x 3% = $6.00 fee for a total payment to card $206.00]

Note: Payments made through the allpaid call center are higher, please ask for details when calling.  A call center/live agent is five (5)% (minimum of $5.00).  

For property tax payments (December and January payments only), including those made at the Village Hall, the following fee schedule applies:

Visa Debit Card payments of any amount add flat $3.95 fee.
All Credit Card payments of any amount add 3% fee with a minimum of $3.00.
All non-Visa Debit Card payments of any amount add 3% fee with a minimum of $3.00.
Payments made through the allpaid call center of any amount add 5% fee with a minimum of $5.00.
